Vanessa has worked as a food and lifestyle journalist for nearly two decades and has been a regular contributor to outlets like The Oregonian, PDX Magazine, MetroParent Magazine, Baltimore Monthly, Portland Woman, and Oregon Bride. Online she's written for Trulia, American Express Small Business Knowledge Center, The Examiner, Cascade Sotheby's Realty, and George Takei's OhMyyy! suite of sites. After backpacking throughout western Europe, Vanessa parlayed her culinary experiences in travel into food writing. She's a founding member of Virtual Potluck, a group of 20 food bloggers/recipe developers who worked directly with food brands, using the cooking party style format to explore ingredients, cookbooks, kitchen tools, and cuisines for their collective audiences. She has a personal cooking blog and continues to provide B2B copywriting, SEM, and integrated marketing solutions as the owner of a copywriting business Word Wize Web.
