Experience

With an editorial career spanning over a decade, Emily prides herself on telling vibrant stories from a cultural or sustainable perspective within the travel, culinary, and climate realms. Her stories have appeared in numerous places, including USA Today, Silversea, TheTravel, Explore Washington State, Royal Caribbean, About Place, Luxury Daily, Peaceful Dumpling, and much more. As a contributing writer for Tasting Table, some of her favorite articles that have been published include an exploration of Iceland's best restaurants, an explainer on traditional Scandinavian fare, a story about the real dishes behind Disney movies, a deep dive into the Icelandic bakery scene, and a round-up of the best Washington State foods. Beyond journalism and content writing, Emily is also the author of "Warmly, The Wild", a 2026-2027 Writer in Residence at Seattle Public Library, a landscape artist, a freelance editorial strategist, and a travel photographer.

Education

Emily has a bachelor's degree in creative writing and environmental studies, and an associate's in art history with a concentration in gender and women's studies from Roanoke College.
