- In 2005, Meg was diagnosed with celiac disease and thought her love of food would basically be over, but has learned how to thrive in a gluten-free world nonetheless.

Experience
After completing her master's degree in journalism and an internship at W magazine, Meg moved to New York to work at InStyle magazine. Her love of the food world blossomed during this era, from trying new buzzed-about restaurants to discovering hole-in-the-wall dives and receiving exclusive invites to the Food Network kitchens. Since 2010, she has been a freelance writer and editor, covering everything lifestyle-oriented for outlets such as HuffPost, The Hollywood Reporter, iVillage (now Today.com), The Zoe Report, Sunday Edit, and more. She has also written for publications based in Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Meg has interviewed dozens of celebrities, chefs, authors, and wellness gurus throughout her career. As a side project with her family, she has hosted guests at a lodge where she's charged with the menu prep and cooking, and has hosted wellness days, including preparing and presenting all the food for guests.
Education
Meg holds a bachelor's degree in communication with an emphasis on newspaper writing and public relations from the University of Washington, and a master's degree in journalism with an emphasis in magazine editorial from the University of Oregon. She completed a nutrition degree from the Nutrition Institute.
