Review: Dunkin's Avengers Menu Includes 6 Super Drinks And 1 Villainously Bad Donut
Pop culture phenomenons come and go, but Dunkin' still knows how to stay on top of all the fast-moving trends. Whether it's a Daydream Refresher inspired by trendsetting clothing brand Parke or a Sabrina Carpenter collab, Dunkin's reach extends far beyond the drive-thru. I give it props for staying on top of the trends that move as fast as you scrolling through the Instagram reels that inspire them — but there's one time-tested pop-culture spectacle that isn't going anywhere, and Dunkin' wants a piece of it.
The Marvel Universe, much like Dunkin', cemented its place as an American cultural fixture long ago, so the two coming together is like the ultimate crossover. In the same vein as Krispy Kreme's "Masters of the Universe" collab, Dunkin' is repping "Avengers: Doomsday" with a brand new menu, including new drinks and snacks. Each drink is inspired by an iconic character; new items include the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, Clobbered Cloud Latte, and Iced Captain'ccino — you get the idea.
On launch day, I got my hands on every brand-new drink, plus the Avenging Donut, a cotton candy-flavored affair meant to evoke the energy of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. Let's see if these heroic drinks and unique donut are the stuff of every Marvel fan's wildest dreams, or if Thanos should snap them out of existence.

Methodology
To review these drinks and the donut accurately and fairly, I tried each one early in the morning in store, when everything was as fresh as possible. I didn't alter the drinks in any way — I just asked for each one and sampled what I got as is, made the way Dunkin' intended for them to be enjoyed. After trying each drink fresh, I brought my leftovers home and let them sit for a bit to so see how they fared after the ice melted and they became a little watered down. I like to enjoy my Dunkin' drinks rather quickly, but some like to savor every sip, so knowing how a drink holds up to a bit of melting ice is a valuable part of any Dunkin' drink review.
Instead of prioritizing my personal opinion, I judged each of these drinks and the funky new donut based on perceived quality, freshness, and fun-factor. To act as the perfect pairing with Marvel's iconic characters, these drinks had to bring something unique to the Dunkin' menu, like funky flavor combos and peak refreshment. While I admit that my Avengers knowledge is limited, I tasted these drinks with the intention of deciding whether or not they match the hype of the new Marvel film and capture the vibe of the characters.
Taste test: Iced Captain'ccino
I love a classic coffee drink dressed up for a particular occasion. That being said, I was probably most excited to try the Captain America-inspired Iced Captain'ccino, which includes espresso, caramel syrup, and coffee milk. The latter, for those not in the know, is made from sweet coffee-infused syrup mixed with milk. Coffee milk at Dunkin' is mostly true to form; it's made from the chain's own coffee extract and whole milk. That being said, you're getting a bit of coffee-on-coffee (coffee-ception, if you will) with the Iced Captain'ccino.
A cappuccino is nothing without its foam, and the worst thing about any iced capp is how quickly the foam dissipates. That was certainly the case with this drink. There's a reason iced lattes are usually heavily favored over iced cappuccinos — but an Iced Captain-latte doesn't have the same quirky alliteration, so I get it.
Despite the fact that this drink ended up being about 35% wasted space, the hint of caramel made the coffee milk a little more interesting, and the addition of espresso gave this drink a bolder flavor that came through despite all the sugar. This drink led the pack when it came to a caffeinated punch — pretty apropos for Captain America.
Taste test: Clobbered Cloud Latte
The Clobbered Cloud Latte, colored and textured in a way that resembles The Thing, consists of espresso, whole milk, toasted white chocolate flavor, Cookie Butter Cold Foam (my personal favorite Dunkin' cold foam), and chunks of cookie floating in the foam. I've had pretty good experiences with Dunkin's Cloud Lattes in the past; in fact, I consider them one of the best hidden-gem chain coffee items out there. Toasty cookie butter combined with toasted white chocolate seems to be perfectly on-brand for this floaty, ethereal drink — certainly more so than the gruff character the drink is based on.
The Cloud Latte gets its name from the cold foam, but the canned cold foam Dunkin' uses isn't quite worthy of acting as the focal point of this drink. It dissipated quickly, probably due to the cookie pieces on top, so I didn't get that mouthful of frothy cream that I was hoping for. Still, there was plenty of cookie butter flavor, and the slight crunch from the cookie pieces floating was like a nice bonus treat to go along with a fun, sweet drink.
With so many flavors going on, I was really surprised how much the coffee taste came through. Robust espresso was the dominant flavor, accented by just the slightest tinge of buttery white chocolate, with a toasty cookie taste rounding everything out. This should be the drink of choice from the new menu for those who want a slap of caffeine and something decadent and dessert-worthy.
Taste test: Wakandan Daydream Refresher
There's a heck of a lot going on in the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, a drink inspired by Black Panther. Like the Berry Battie Daydream Refresher that I reviewed for Halloween, this drink starts with a berry-clementine Refresher base. From there it gets oatmilk, raspberry syrup, and Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam. Creamy citrus, berry, and marshmallow is a bold play, even for Dunkin', and I wish I could say that it paid off.
With so much going on here, it's no wonder that too much of a good thing was this drink's downfall. Multiple berry flavors, clementine, and marshmallow all melded into one nondescript taste that wasn't necessarily gross — just confusing. The first millisecond of my first sip was promising, but once the marshmallow flavor and tart citrus started to poke through in the aftertaste, the drink became muddled and undeserving of subsequent sips. The funky flavor maybe could have worked had the drink been less rich and palate-coating. It took longer than I would have liked for the sweet, medicinal taste to eventually fade from my taste buds. But I'll admit that my least favorite drink of the bunch was at least the prettiest.
Taste test: Optic Blast Lemonade
Usually drinks this blue give me pause, but for an Avengers collab? What could be more on-brand than a drink the color of the universe? The Optic Blast Lemonade is a simple mix of lemonade and blue raspberry syrup for a double-dose of sweet-tart flavor.
This drink shocked me more than any of the others, and not for the reason you're probably assuming. It wasn't a lightning strike of classic blue raspberry sweet-and-sour plus the added zing from lemon; it was actually much more muted than I anticipated, especially after I left it to sit for a few minutes. The lemonade and flavor syrup combine to form a kind of general zesty, candy-like flavor that tasted much more grown-up than it looked. I didn't mind this adult version of a blue raspberry drink, but those looking for a wave of nostalgia and a Slurpee-like flavor might be disappointed. Still, I could imagine sipping this while watching "Avengers: Doomsday" and feeling immersed in the action.
Taste test: Doom's Orders Energy
This drink probably looks the most Avengers-coded of the entire bunch. Why? I can't really say — I guess there's something about cosmic purple and toxic waste neon green that's really giving "comic book superheroes." Doom's Orders Energy combines Dunkin's classic Zero Energy in green apple flavor with the same Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam that's on the Wakandan Daydream Refresher. If Doctor Doom had a flavor, somehow, this would probably be it.
As much as I hate to insert my personal opinion into food reviews, I feel obligated to acknowledge that this drink was not for me — but that doesn't necessarily mean it would disappoint the average Dunkin' customer. The marshmallow and green apple combo instantly reminded me of Halloween, so for that reason it was pretty on-brand for a spooky character like Doctor Doom. The flavor pairing worked better than I expected, but I still wouldn't say the two are a match made in the Multiverse. However, the contrast between rich cold foam and the light, refreshing energy drink is one that I could see developing a cult following among Dunkin' fans.
Taste test: Doom Cloud Latte
Last on the drink list is another Doctor Doom-inspired sip, this one a lot more traditional than the aforementioned purple-green concoction. The Doom Cloud Latte consists of espresso, whole milk, mocha swirl, and vanilla topped with a dollop of classic Sweet Cold Foam and a gentle sprinkle of cocoa powder.
This drink felt like the most classic iced coffee option on this list, but it wound up being the most egregious flavor that I tried. I usually don't prefer chocolate in my coffee, so I don't have a lot of experience with the mocha swirl at Dunkin'. Maybe it was the mocha acting alone, or maybe vanilla and Sweet Cream Cold Foam were its accomplices, but the overall flavor of this drink was less "chocolate and vanilla" and more "sugar and more sugar."
I noticed that a lot of the mocha swirl wound up stuck to the bottom of the cup, so I could blame the syrup settling for the bland, too-sweet taste in this drink. Despite its flavor earning a hard pass, I still appreciated that the espresso taste came through nicely, like in the other two coffee-based drinks. Maybe Dunkin's espresso machine was particularly on point today, or employees thought the Avengers might need an extra kick of caffeine to fight evil — whatever the reason, I hope Dunkin' keeps it up.
Taste test: Avenging Donut
Much like the Avengers and Fantastic Four, a cotton candy donut sounds like something I'd go absolutely kooky over as a kid. This quirky treat is allegedly filled with cotton candy and topped with vanilla icing and sprinkles in three colors: red, yellow, and blue to represent the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
In a blurb about the new items, Dunkin' calls the Avengers Donut "a cotton candy-filled donut." Maybe I'm naive, but I expected this donut to actually be filled with cotton candy, as in the fluffy pastel-colored stuff you get at carnivals. Instead, it's filled with cotton candy-flavored icing, and I can't say I was disappointed when I bit into the donut. In fact, I was profoundly relieved.
For most Avengers fans with a sweet tooth disappointed in the lack of actual cotton candy in this treat, the flavor likely won't be much of a consolation. Despite looking fun, there wasn't much going on here taste-wise, and even the icing inside was bland — and extremely minimal at that. There was enough icing inside the donut for a little bit in two bites at best. This dessert doesn't do the three superhero squads it was made for justice.
Final thoughts
I've reviewed a lot of seasonal and collaborative limited-time-only Dunkin' menus, and I have to admit that most of them are pretty lackluster. Sometimes the brand will team up with a pop star touting a drink that doesn't really match her chic style, or it'll launch a holiday drink that belongs in July. But unlike those flops, this drink menu feels much more appropriate. In fact, I would have been a little offended if there were no neon colors and ingredients meant to mimic The Thing's weird textured body in this line-up.
Even though some of the character associations were a bit of a stretch, I have to give Dunkin' credit for trying, and honestly, doing the best it probably could with the task at hand. The coffee drinks were sweet and fun but still a touch elevated, and the other three are likely to be enjoyed by both kids and adults. Plus, three coffee drinks and three non-coffee drinks make the perfect balance for a six-drink menu. Do they all deserve a spot on the permanent menu? Probably not. But they certainly serve their purpose.
While the drinks were everything I could have wanted them to be, the new donut completely lost me. But let's be real — these days, Dunkin' is way more about caffeinated beverages than pastries. Maybe that's for the best, and maybe the Avenging Donut and this new fun drink menu are proof that Dunkin' made the right call when it dropped "Donuts" from its name.
Price and availability
Starting on November 4, 2026, customers can snag the items from the new "Avengers: Doomsday" menu at participating Dunkin' locations. The new menu in its entirety includes all six new drinks, the Avenging donut, the Doomsday Donut (a returning Brownie Batter Donut with Doom-colored sprinkles), and two new superhero-themed Munchkins. There are also collectible items, like "Avengers: Doomsday" tumblers and a Munchkin tin in the shape of Doctor Doom himself. The items and the menu will only be around for a limited, undisclosed period of time.
I got my Avenging Donut for $1.99 — a hefty price to pay for such a depressing snack, if you ask me. But the drinks — all of which were medium-sized — felt like a better value. At my location in upstate New York, an Iced Captain'ccino was $5.79, the Clobbered Cloud Latte was $6.24, the Wakandan Daydream Refresher was $4.99, an Optic Blast Lemonade was $3.69, the Doom's Orders Energy was $5.24, and a Doom Cloud Latte was $6.24.
