- Steve's cooking is inspired by his garden, where he enjoys growing everything from blackcurrants to winter squash. He aims to grow one new food or variety each year.
- Steve loves to travel and has found that one of the best ways to learn about the people and culture of a destination is by taking a food tour. His favorites include Athens, Seattle, and Boston's Italian North End.
- He once claimed the top spot in a sandwich-making competition and received a ride in a hot-air balloon as a reward.
Experience
Steve has inspired home cooks to be more creative and curious in the kitchen for over a decade. Leveraging his background in writing and education, he has contributed a food column to a local Vermont newspaper, conducted cooking workshops, and assisted food businesses in elevating their marketing efforts. Steve finds joy in crafting recipes for his food blog and clients, with a particular focus on local and seasonal ingredients. In 2021, he ventured into the world of food photography and now uses both imagery and words to express his affection for the culinary arts.

Steve has a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in education from Southern Connecticut State University
