15 American Fast Food Chains That Serve Coca-Cola Over Pepsi In 2026

"Is Pepsi okay?" How many times have you ordered a Coke or a Diet Coke at a restaurant and had the server respond with that question? It can happen when you don't think to check the menu before ordering your drink, especially if it's a place you don't visit very often. Nearly every major fast food chain in America has partnered with either Coca-Cola or Pepsi to provide soft drinks for customers, and those contracts are generally exclusive, meaning you're going to get one or the other but typically not both. Since a drink isn't always the first menu item you're thinking about when visiting a fast food restaurant, it's easy to lose track of which chain sells what. Luckily, we've done the legwork for you.

If you go to Burger King for a Whopper, Arby's for a roast beef sandwich, or Popeyes for some spicy chicken, you're not necessarily thinking about whether you're going to sip on a Coke Zero or a Sprite at the same time. We've looked at 15 of the most popular fast food chains in America that sell Coca-Cola products rather than Pepsi in 2026, so you'll know which beverages you can pair with your meal next time you head out. For reference, Coca-Cola distributes several varieties of Coke, along with Sprite, Barq's, Fanta, Fresca, Mello Yello, Minute Maid, and the sometimes hard to find Mr. Pibb. PepsiCo brands include Mountain Dew, Mug Root Beer, Dr Pepper, and Brisk.

Arby's

Arby's made the switch to Coca-Cola back in 2018, launching a formal partnership with the beverage maker to supply drinks at all Arby's locations. At that time, you could order a regular Coke, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero, as well as Barq's, Sprite, Minute Maid Light, Hi-C, Fanta Orange, Mello Yello, and Powerade. All of those options are still available, as are diet and regular Dr. Pepper.

Culver's

Culver's, home of the ButterBurger and frozen custard, converted from Pepsi to Coca-Cola products in 2023. The change showed the potential downside of such business decisions, as it was met with some anger from diners. "This is totally ruining it for me," said one fan, per CNN, after the announcement was made. Culver's didn't provide an explanation for the switch, but still offers its house-brand root beer and Dr Pepper (owned by Keurig Dr Pepper) . Coca-Cola holds a larger share of the soft drink market than Pepsi, though it's unclear whether this factored into the decision.

Domino's

When Domino's Pizza signed an agreement with Coca-Cola back in 2014, it was the only U.S. pizza chain officially partnered with the legendary soda brand. To this day, several major pizza chains are still aligned with Pepsi, including Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, and Papa Johns.

Domino's has renewed its exclusive partnership with Coca-Cola more than once. The most recent renewal was reported in the company's 2023 annual report, in which it states that the agreement was extended through the end of 2030.

Five Guys

Coca-Cola Freestyle machines were introduced in 2009 and proved to be a big hit with customers. By 2011, Five Guys announced it would install a pair of Freestyle machines in every location across the country. This came after the restaurant tested the machines around Atlanta and experienced increased sales as a result. Unlike some chains, Five Guys never switched to Coca-Cola — it has served Coke products since it first opened.

Jack in the Box

Few fast food restaurants have tried to create their own soda instead of selling another company's product, and for a time, Jack in the Box was one of them. The West Coast-based chain sold its own brand of Jack Cola in the late 1960s, but transitioned to Coca-Cola soft drinks by 1971. It has stuck with the beverage maker ever since.

Jimmy John's

There's no beverage consensus among the major sandwich chains in America. Subway sold Coca-Cola products until 2025, when it switched to Pepsi. Jersey Mike's also sells Pepsi, while Firehouse Subs and Jimmy John's both offer Coca-Cola products.

The original Jimmy John's location in Charleston, Illinois, sold Pepsi products, but it has offered Coca-Cola products since at least 1996. It appears that Jimmy John's and Coca-Cola have remained partners all this time.

Panda Express

In 2018, Panda Express' parent company, Panda Restaurant Group, and Coca-Cola announced an agreement to sell Coke products in the chain's 1,900 locations, which coincided with the restaurant's 35th anniversary. At that time, Panda Express published a press release that said Coca-Cola's "seasoned foodservice presence, industry expertise and innovation will unlock a fresh perspective for Panda." The partnership is still in place today, so you can enjoy a Coke with its famous Orange Chicken.

Popeyes

Fast food chicken chains seem to be evenly split between offering Coke and Pepsi. Buffalo Wild Wings, KFC, and Bojangles all serve Pepsi products. Chick-fil-A, Wingstop, and Popeyes sell Coca-Cola beverages. In 2023, Restaurant Brands International renewed a 10-year agreement to continue serving Coca-Cola at the various restaurant chains it operates. That agreement covered Popeyes as well as several other fast food brands. Popeyes has sold Coke soft drinks since 2010, seven years before being purchased by RBI.

Sonic

Sonic menus from the 1960s show that the chain sold Pepsi cola and Coca-Cola side by side. By the late 1960s or early 1970s, the soda selection only featured Coca-Cola, Sprite, root beer, and Dr Pepper. Coca-Cola's presence at Sonic stayed consistent through the 1990s and continues today.

For years, Sonic has offered customizable beverages, allowing customers to mix flavorings into existing fountain drinks. The chain said in 2006 that it had over 168,000 ways to customize a beverage. Sonic and Coke leaned into this in 2025 with a "Coca-Cola Your Way" campaign focused on transforming Coke beverages into dirty sodas.

Wendy's

In 1998, Wendy's signed an agreement to exclusively sell Coca-Cola products for the next 10 years. Prior to that, franchise owners were free to choose either Coke or Pepsi products. Pepsi had gained business with some Wendy's franchises, but the official agreement ended that.

In 2023, SEC filings mentioned that Wendy's had an agreement with "a beverage vendor" until the end of 2025, but did not name Coca-Cola. Since Wendy's still offers Coke products, it looks like the contract is still in place.

Whataburger

Whataburger opened in 1950, and the chain has served Coca-Cola products from the start. The relationship between the two businesses is so strong that Coca-Cola chose Whataburger to launch Cherry Coke nationally back in 1985. In the chain's early days, you could buy a Coke in three different sizes priced at 10, 15, or 25 cents. Drinks come in four sizes today: kids, small, medium, and large. Prices range from $1.99 to $2.99.

White Castle

White Castle has sold Coca-Cola for over 100 years. Its cola was an original menu item when the chain opened in 1921, but that doesn't mean there was an exclusive agreement all along. Images from a 1980 White Castle opening in Lexington, Kentucky, show Pepsi on the menu board.

By 2017, White Castle was outfitting its restaurants with Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, and if you place an order online right now, you'll only find Coca-Cola products offered. Regional differences may have accounted for Pepsi being offered in some places at certain times, but the shift toward Coca-Cola Freestyle likely ended that.

Wingstop

The first beverage supply and marketing partnership agreement between Wingstop and Coca-Cola was announced in 2003. Five years later, the two companies renewed the contract in another multi-year deal. As of 2026, Coca-Cola is still touting Wingstop as one of its major fast food partners.

Drinks weren't a big part of the Wingstop brand in the early years. Menus printed circa 1999 didn't mention beverages at all. Wingstop's website didn't offer a drinks option until 2006, and even then, it didn't specify what was available. Coca-Cola appeared by name on Wingstop's online menu sometime in 2013.

McDonald's

McDonald's began selling Coke products in 1955 after a handshake deal between Ray Kroc and Coca-Cola executive Waddy Pratt. The companies have worked together ever since. The relationship between the two is so unique that McDonald's soda fountains are equipped with filters and temperature settings to ensure its Coke tastes crisper than Coke served at other restaurants. McDonald's has joined other fast food chains by moving into the dirty soda space, using Coke products with various add-ins to offer customers more customized drink options.

Burger King

Burger King is owned by Restaurant Brands International, so when the company renewed its agreement to offer Coca-Cola in all RBI-owned chains in 2023, Burger King was included in the deal. However, the relationship between Burger King and Coca-Cola goes back decades. Coke appeared on menus alongside the Whopper back in the 1960s.

Coca-Cola has not been the exclusive supplier of Burger King's beverages for its entire history. In 1983, Burger King began doing business with Pepsi, and the relationship lasted until 1990, when it switched back again.
