Alexandra Cass has had a passion for food her whole life, starting with nights spent in the kitchen cooking alongside her mom and grandmother, growing up in Texas. She's been developing and testing her own recipes for more than a decade, drawing inspiration from her southern roots, and the diverse food scene of New York City. Alexandra has background in news-focused research and writing. She's previously worked at top national news networks in NYC, including NBC News and CBS News, where she was the lead-fact checker, a segment producer, and interview producer for CBS This Morning. Additionally, she has worked for the millennial-focused news streaming platform Cheddar, where she wrote, produced, and led the network's top rated show, covering a range of topics, including food and food media. Currently, from her new home in Seattle, Alexandra continues to expand her freelance writing portfolio, while growing a food and recipe blog focused on healthy, wholesome recipes and holistic, sustainability-focused nutrition.


Alexandra graduated cum laude from New York University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and History. She learned to master her writing and research skills while sustaining herself in the culinary landscape of Manhattan.
