Out of all the breakfast foods out there, breakfast sandwiches remain one of the best — and for more reasons than one. First of all, they're incredibly filling, especially if you load them with the works: bacon, egg, cheese, and perhaps a serving of your favorite veggie, or even a hashbrown. Second, they're easy to customize. Whether you choose a bagel, an English muffin, a biscuit, or a Honey Bun, each vessel completely changes the sandwich's flavor and texture. So, if you're tired of your go-to breakfast sandwich, we highly recommend swapping the bread. Not sure where to start? Head to your nearest Aldi.

Aldi's Specially Selected Croissant Toast is the breakfast sandwich ingredient you never knew you needed, but once you try it, we can guarantee that it'll be your new go-to. It's exactly what it sounds like: a thick-cut loaf of bread that's flaky, buttery, and soft. Made with real butter, its flavor is extremely rich, making it the perfect receptacle for a sweet and savory breakfast sandwich. You could make a sandwich with the bread as is, or take things to the next level by making sweet and spicy French toast with the bread. This way takes a bit more time, but it's highly worth it to experience the mingling of salty bacon, savory eggs, creamy gouda cheese, and sweet croissant toast.

Specially Selected Croissant Toast is an Aldi breakfast standout

Specially Selected is one of Aldi's most popular private labels. It's perhaps best known for its impressive lineup of breads, which include the Croissant Toast. Fans on social media have expressed their love for this loaf in particular, especially when it comes to making breakfast sandwiches. In fact, it's so beloved, some fans can't even find it at their local Aldi, since it routinely sells out.

"I have been trying for weeks with no luck," one fan on Facebook wrote. Similarly, another said, "They're gonna stop selling it by the time I finally know where to find it," so clearly, it's well-loved by the Aldi fans who are lucky enough to get their hands on it.

Shoppers have gotten pretty creative with Aldi's Croissant Toast. People use it for anything from BLTs and grilled cheeses, while others keep things simple and make classic cinnamon toast. But if you manage to get your hands on a loaf, according to fans, breakfast sandwiches are absolutely where it's at.

"[Aldi's] croissant bread has me making a breakfast sandwich every dayyyyy," one Facebook user wrote, sharing a picture of theirs, which features bacon, egg, and cheese. Another responded, writing that they "[made] this exact sandwich but made the bread French toast," which, no doubt, took it a step further. From "awesome" to "life changing," others on the same Facebook post endlessly praise the bread, so pick up a loaf on your next Aldi run for a serious breakfast upgrade.
