Arby's may still hang its hat on roast beef sandwiches, but the chain has been knocking it out of the park with its expanded sandwich options. Arby's crispy chicken sandwiches have become a staple of the menu after a rebrand from a decade ago, and they have become some of the best fast food chicken sandwiches from non-chicken chains. Earlier this year, Arby's added the Angus Cheesesteak to its permanent menu, which quickly became one of our favorite new fast food items of the summer. Feeling inspired, Arby's has now unveiled a whole lineup of chicken cheesesteaks for the fall.

The new chicken cheesesteak menu at Arby's will be available starting on Monday, October 12, 2026. Arby's says the cheesesteaks are made up of seared and seasoned chicken that has been marinated in a blend of spices, including garlic, onion, and paprika. Interestingly, the chain claims the chicken is both seared and then cooked sous-vide to ensure the chicken is extra juicy.

Arby's chicken cheesesteaks will come in three flavors: a classic, deluxe, and spicy. These new offerings will only be available for a limited time at participating nationwide locations — but take that with a small grain of salt. The Angus Cheesesteak at Arby's was also originally a limited-time release, but positive reception landed it a on the menu long-term. So, if the chicken cheesesteaks see anything like the Angus fandom, you could be looking at another Arby's go-to.

Arby's new selection of chicken cheesesteaks for October

While the new Arby's chicken cheesesteaks come in three options, none stray too far from the popular formula. The most basic cheesesteak consists of sliced, seasoned chicken on a toasted sesame roll with caramelized onions and cheese. The deluxe will offer the same, only adding shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes. The spicy option simply includes what Arby's calls a "spicy glaze."

However, the most interesting ingredient of the Angus Cheesesteak is also featured on the new chicken options: Cooper Cheese. While outsiders may think of Philly cheesesteaks as having Cheese Whiz (or provolone), Cooper Cheese is a popular choice in Philadelphia. It's actually a sharper style of cheese that is often labeled as "American." It boasts the great melting of American cheese but with a more cheddar-like flavor. It's a small but authentic choice that definitely ups the taste of Arby's cheesesteaks.

So, for those journeying outside Philadelphia, these chicken cheesesteaks from Arby's may be the one place offering you something close to the taste of home. Just don't sleep on them. Even if Arby's does bring them back, this will probably be your only chance to grab one in 2026.
