Take for example, @sofiaparapluie who shared a TikTok video on how to transform Ikea's UTSÅDD pet bowls into eye-catching, countertop storage pieces.
The UTSÅDD pet bowls come in three different sizes, and for this DIY project you'll need the largest (with a 7 ½-inch diameter) and the smallest (4 ½-inch) bowl, plus some super glue. Glue the two bowls together at the bottom, and make sure that the smaller one is positioned in the center of the larger one. This smaller bowl will act as a standing support to elevate the larger bowl. Once the glue dries up, that's it — you have a brand-new, dashing (and functional) countertop piece for just $13.
You can use your creation to store anything that you like to keep visible, but don't want rolling around your counters — fresh fruit, coffee pods, snacks, etc. Because the pet bowls have a chic, striped look, they can seamlessly match some of Ikea's kitchen-intended pieces, such as the OMBONAD bowls and plates or even the monochrome RINNIG dish towels.
