The Worst Chicken Wing Flavor Available At Pizza Hut Has Almost No Taste

While Pizza Hut's wings and pizza deals are all the rage for football Sundays and late-night movie marathons, those sauce-drenched wings weren't always part of the menu. Introduced in 1995 and revamped in 2003, Pizza Hut now offers an extensive array of wing flavors, ranging from Buffalo to Honey BBQ and many in between. We particularly disliked the Nashville Hot flavor earlier this year, but recently, Pizza Hut discontinued that particular seasoning from its menu. So, to take its place as the worst chicken wing flavor still available at Pizza Hut, we found that the once-classic Garlic Parmesan just doesn't measure up.

In a ranking of Pizza Hut wings, we decided the Garlic Parmesan flavor was rather disappointing. It wasn't necessarily that these wings tasted bad, but that there was no flavor period. No tangy garlic, no rich parmesan, nothing. Was there a bit of a savory taste? A hint of garlic? Sure, we can give it that. But nowhere near the punch of garlic and parmesan that normally comes from a wing sauce of this caliber, the kind that lingers in your mouth hours after you've eaten it. Considering this lack of pizzazz, and the fact that Pizza Hut's wings aren't even gluten-free, we're unfortunately going to skip the big PH when it comes to garlic parm wings.

Customers are also disappointed in Pizza Hut's Garlic Parm wings

A weak taste and an oil overkill seem to be Pizza Hut's Garlic Parmesan wings' biggest downfall, according to customers. The "Garlic Parmesan wings were too oily," said one customer on DoorDash, continuing that they "couldn't taste the garlic or the parmesan and the texture was too soft." Another similar review on Google notes the customer received "plain boneless chicken tenders with all the sauce at the bottom," and felt there was barely any sauce to spread around. What was there tasted "more like melted butter instead of anything garlic." Another Redditor summed up a post by saying "this is the first and also the last time that I order garlic parmesan wings from Pizza Hut."

There's a strong, negative discourse around Pizza Hut's Garlic Parm wings, such as this alleged employee on Reddit who said that "the garlic wing sauce is vile," and that they "would never eat it." Many customers compare Pizza Hut's wings against other wing places, and the Garlic Parm flavor is nowhere near as beloved, though we didn't rank Domino's Garlic Parmesan wings very highly, either. In an attempt to improve the abysmal wings, some customers recommend asking for extra garlic parmesan sauce on the wings, since a lack of flavor is frequent enough of a complaint. If sogginess is a repeated issue at a particular store, you could also try asking the employees if they can make the wings extra crispy, since Pizza Hut fries its wings.
