It's always a dark day when a favorite food item is no longer available, and unfortunately, that's not an unfamiliar experience for Aldi shoppers. The company often has a revolving door of products, and while everyone loves the new finds, it means that beloved picks like the frozen Kirkwood Spicy Chicken Patties are gone too soon. 

Some of the most frequent complaints customers make about Aldi are about items being discontinued, and the disappearance of the frozen Kirkwood Spicy Chicken Patties is one of the latest gripes. For a few days, fans on Reddit and Facebook have been theorizing on whether or not the poultry product would be discontinued, and we can confirm that it appears to be so. 

Tasting Table reached out to Aldi's customer service team, and the brand said that it carries "an ever-changing array of unique items available for a very limited time," mentioning that the frozen patties would only be in stores as long as supplies last. The product garnered plenty of fans, but Aldi wasn't able to say whether they'd be making an appearance at stores again.

With their juicy texture and powerful heat, the Kirkwood Spicy Chicken Patties definitely were unique. According to Aldi, each store only received a limited amount of stock, with no information about future availability. The lesson learned here is that if you ever find an Aldi favorite, you should stock up while you can.
