Katie has been working in the media industry since 2012, gaining experience in radio, TV news, web, and print. She started her career while earning her associate's degree, working as a radio board operator and freelance writer. She spent nearly five years producing morning news, where she wrote about food trends and produced live food segments. Katie joined Static Media as a freelancer in 2022, contributing to Looper before transitioning to Tasting Table.
Education
Katie has an associate's degree in digital filmmaking from Herkimer College, a bachelor's degree in broadcasting and mass communication from SUNY Oswego, and a master's degree in library and information science from St. John's University.
