From 2016 to 2023, she worked as an entertainment and lifestyle reporter for The International Business Times, where she covered viral, trending, entertainment, lifestyle, and breaking news, building reader engagement both on social media and across the websites. She has also spent time dabbling in the fashion world, including compiling best and worst dress lists and working behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week. As an amateur baker and creative home cook, Cortney decided to explore her interest in food writing. In 2024, she joined Tasting Table, covering a range of topics from the best ice cream brands to the top dishes at Olive Garden.
