Wheat Thins are a fan-favorite cracker with a delicious balance of sweet, savory, and salty whole-wheat flavor. Their irresistible crunch makes them a poppable snack that can be enjoyed as a standalone snack or as a vehicle for cheese and spreads. And while the Original flavor is a timeless classic, it isn't the only flavor of Wheat Thins out there. In fact, it isn't even the best. Our taster tasted all the Wheat Thins flavors and ranked them according to taste, as they all had the same crunchy texture and form.

Believe it or not, the original flavor scored toward the middle of this list. And while we loved the balance of nutty, sweet, and salty, the original didn't compare to our first-place ranking, Sundried Tomato & Basil. These Wheat Thins, like the Original and all other competitors, supplied the paper-thin, shatteringly crispy crunch that makes them so snackable. And our taster liked that they could still taste a bit of the sweet and nutty whole-wheat flavor. But what earned these flavored Wheat Thins their first-place ranking was the robust sweet-and-savory flavor of their unique seasoning blend. Our taster got the umami-rich, sundried tomato flavor as well as peppers and garlic very prominently with every bite. While the basil didn't shine through as much, we still noted a nice herbal finish to complement the tomatoes and aromatics. This was a snack we didn't want to put down!

Praise from the Sundried Tomato & Basil Wheat Thins

Customer reviews for Sundried Tomato & Basil Wheat Thins on Target's website were overwhelmingly positive, with nearly 800 customer ratings averaging 4.7 stars at the time of writing. One Target customer proclaimed, "love the tomato and basil flavor! They're crispy, savory, and have plenty of flavor without needing anything on top." Furthermore, while certain seasoned snacks can leave you with stained or soiled fingers, another Target customer commended the Wheat Thins' seasonings as providing "good stickiness with flavor and no residue left behind." The prominent tasting notes stood out to everyone who gave a positive review, and even to those who weren't the biggest fans. One customer who gave a mediocre review said, "I love the Tomato Basil seasoning but it doesn't go well against the sugary under-taste."

While many customers loved snacking on these heavily seasoned crackers on their own, just as many recommended ingredient pairings. Hummus was one of the most popular spreads customers recommended pairing with Sundried Tomato & Basil Wheat Thins, as the sweet and savoriness of the tomatoes and garlic tasting notes will work well with an earthy garbanzo bean dip. Cheese is yet another great complement to these crackers. Several types of cheese, from fresh mozzarella to smoked Gouda, would all work well, so be sure to stock up on Wheat Thins for your next cheese board. You could make a simple yet sophisticated appetizer by accompanying these Wheat Thins with your favorite flavor of Boursin cheese.
