Costco's prepared foods section is bursting with flavorful meals to help get you through especially busy times. From its rotisserie chicken to its stuffed bell peppers, there are plenty of classics to choose from, no matter the occasion. Shoppers especially love Costco's Chicken Pot Pie, which weighs a little over five pounds and is stuffed with rotisserie chicken meat, peas, and carrots. Sadly, this prepared meal is only available during the fall and winter seasons. However, if you're a chicken pot pie lover and don't want to wait for it to appear at your local Costco, head to Sam's Club. You'll find its Member's Mark version of the chicken pie year-round — and shoppers seem to love it just as much.

Both Costco's and Sam's Club's chicken pot pies are sold by the pound. Last year, Costco's cost $3.99 per pound. Sam's Club's year-round version costs a bit less; at $3.94 per pound, you can get a whole pie for $19.66 on average (though prices may vary by location). In addition to its great price, Sam's Club's pot pies are made fresh daily, serve between four and six people and, much like Costco's version, are stuffed with shredded chicken, carrots, and peas. Once you're ready to bake yours, it'll take around 60 to 90 minutes to cook, giving you plenty of time to whip up a comforting veggie side dish to enjoy alongside it. It's a simple, hearty meal, but it's well-loved for a reason.

If you're a diehard Costco shopper and always add the Kirkland pot pie to your cart during the fall, you might be hesitant to pick up the Member's Mark version. However, if the craving strikes outside of Costco's seasonal offering and you simply can't wait, head to your nearest Sam's Club and give it a try. Shoppers can't get enough of it, and soon enough, you won't be able to either.

One Redditor shared an image of their pot pie and wrote that Sam's version is much better. "The carrots are diced not whole," they wrote. "The crust is flakier, there is so much more flavor!" They also noted the cheaper price and better value but said they would pay more considering the quality, which says all you need to know. "It's waaaaaay better than [Costco's] that's for sure," one fan agreed.

One shopper who, admittedly, isn't "the biggest fan of chicken pot pie," called Sam's Club's version "really good," noting that they loved the crust and the amount of chicken in the pie. Beyond the flavor and price, fans also love the convenience of this pie. Another shopper on Facebook wrote that it's "perfect for when you don't want to/feel like cooking and don't want fast food." So, before Costco's version drops, head to your nearest Sam's Club to pick up what's possibly the most comforting meal out there.
