Of course, they're delicious, convenient, and mess-free for any snacking occasion. And whatever your reason for eating them, Aldi has a diverse selection under its private label brands at exceedingly low prices. We sampled and ranked nine Aldi meat sticks to find the best options.

We based our ranking on a balance of taste and texture, looking for a compelling flavor profile and a meaty chew. And the American Wagyu beef sticks were by far the best. Wagyu beef is a prized breed at any steakhouse, and the taste and quality certainly translate to a superior beef stick. These American Wagyu beef sticks were bursting with umami-rich, savory, and aromatic flavor. Seasoned with an array of ingredients like dehydrated onion, bell pepper, garlic, and other spices, these sticks had an aromatic, spicy, and savory depth, while the fattiness of the meat added the ultimate richness. Where other sticks were dry, these Wagyu beef sticks had a delightful snap that led to a moist, almost oily interior. They were by far the most decadent in flavor and texture, and we were surprised to find such a premium product at a bargain grocery chain. While it was more expensive than many competitors, these American Wagyu beef sticks were still reasonable and well worth the moderate expense.

Other Aldi customers have been as complimentary of the American Wagyu Beef sticks as we are, taking to social media to sing their praises. One Facebook review praised the product for being a low-carb snack, stating, "barely any sugar added (2g) they taste so good. If you like [Slim Jims], these are that but with better ingredients." A Reddit review called the sticks "fire" and "perfection," alluding to the delicious taste and texture that landed them in first place in our ranking. Apparently, Aldi sells another less expensive American Wagyu beef jerky that customers also rave about, but they still prefer the more expensive beef sticks.

While these portable, mess-free snacks are delicious on their own, you can accompany them with dips and other snacks for an upgraded experience. You can dip beef sticks in spicy or Dijon mustard for a spicy, tangy kick. A cooling and creamy Ranch dressing or onion dip would also work well. These beef sticks would also make a great addition to a charcuterie and cheese board, and Aldi has a diverse cheese selection, with premium options like Double Creme Brie, a cheddar and parmesan hybrid, and applewood smoked gouda. Beef sticks, a few types of cheese, olives, pickles, and some crunchy pretzels would make for the ultimate snack board for your next get-together.
