As fall is fast approaching, we're all looking forward to our favorite seasonal flavors. And pumpkin spice is on the top of the list for everything from lattes to oatmeal cookies. Fudge is yet another decadent confection that you can easily bring into the pumpkin spice category, though surprisingly without the help of pumpkin puree. The base of pumpkin fudge is a simple blend of sweetened condensed milk and pumpkin spice coffee creamer.

While traditional fudge is a confection made by boiling butter, sugar, and milk together to form a smooth, dense foundation, it's a fairly finicky process that requires a candy thermometer and accurate temperature control to prevent a gritty texture. Sweetened condensed milk requires less work, as it's already sweetened and emulsified. In fact, we use condensed milk and butter for the base of our three-ingredient white chocolate fudge. The pumpkin spice coffee creamer is yet another sweet and creamy element and flavoring agent you need for the pumpkin version.

Simply add a can of sweetened condensed milk, some pumpkin spice-flavored coffee creamer, a few tablespoons of salted butter, and a spoonful of pumpkin pie spice to a pot to blend over medium heat. After taking it off the burner, you can melt your white chocolate chips in the pot, stirring to create a thick, pourable mixture that will set over the span of a few hours.

Pumpkin fudge toppings and more seasonal flavors

Pumpkin fudge is an easy and delicious fall treat that requires a handful of unexpected yet staple ingredients. If you're a pumpkin spice lover, you're bound to already have pumpkin spice creamer on hand, and sweetened condensed milk is a pantry must-have that can be used for many different recipes

You can also make the pumpkin fudge a little more festive while also adding texture and flavor. While the fudge is still warm, press chopped nuts or pumpkin candies into it for crunch, decoration, and a nutty complement to the earthy pumpkin and warm spicy notes. If you want to play up the spices, you can add halved or crushed Biscoff cookies or graham crackers to the fudge. These cookies will also give a kind of pie crust feel, bringing the fudge into pumpkin pie territory. You could also top the fudge with mini marshmallows or a drizzle of marshmallow creme. A dark chocolate drizzle, meanwhile, will bring a sophisticated complexity and a bit of bitterness to cut through the sweetness of the fudge.

Pumpkin spice isn't the only seasonal coffee creamer flavor you can use to make fudge. For a winter treat, you can use a peppermint mocha creamer and top it with crushed candy canes.
