How To Order Pizza Hut Bellybuster-Style Like The Irish
There's nothing like ordering a pizza on a busy weeknight. It's fast, convenient, and delicious. Whether you order from your local spot or a chain, you probably have a go-to combination of sauce, cheese, and toppings. But what if you're hoping to try something a little different and possibly internationally inspired? Look no further than the menu at Pizza Hut — particularly the one in Ireland.
Pizza Hut is a popular chain in the U.S., but it has more than 14,000 locations outside the States. It's fairly well-known in Ireland, and its online menu boasts a variety of fun, delicious pies you can't find in the U.S. One we really want to try? The Bellybuster, which includes pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, peppers, pineapple, and crispy bacon. It's not offered in the U.S., but if you order a Create Your Own Pizza and add the aforementioned toppings, you'll basically get the same thing.
Ireland's Bellybuster comes with a classic base — it doesn't look like you can modify the crust style — which appears to consist of hand-tossed crust, marinara sauce, and regular mozzarella cheese. But if you order a Create Your Own Pizza in the U.S., you can choose from hand-tossed, tavern-style (square cut), Thin 'N Crispy, and Original Stuffed Crust options. Another difference is the price. Ireland's version seems to cost around 26 euros (about $30), but a large Create Your Own Pizza in America is approximately $17. With toppings, it'll likely cost roughly $32 to $36, depending on location.
How to upgrade this meal even more
We've previously shared five ordering tips to get the best Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza, including how to order it Canadian style with bacon and mushrooms. But for this DIY Bellybuster pizza, we have a few other ideas in mind. For one, we think it would taste delicious with a cheese-stuffed crust. The Garlic-Parm Hut Blend crust finisher will also give it a zesty, savory flavor. For a kick of spice, add jalapeños or banana peppers to the mix.
If you're a sauce person, experiment with different kinds: Pizza Hut offers barbecue, Buffalo, sweet or spicy marinara, and creamy garlic parmesan. These sauces will be added as a base instead of Classic Marinara. Or try some of the absolute best sauces for dipping your pizza crust, like ranch, garlic sauce, honey barbecue, or blue cheese. These are the dips typically offered at Pizza Hut, and they go well with virtually anything: wings, crust, breadsticks, you name it. Well, maybe not the Cinnamon Sticks ... those need icing.
