Change Up Your Basic McDonald's Burger — Give It A German-Style Upgrade With An Ordering Trick

Sometimes, if you want to expand the McDonald's menu, you have to take matters into your own hands. To experience something close to Germany's Double Beef Classic, you'll can make a few tweaks to a normal Big Mac, starting by removing the center bun and holding the Mac sauce.

The Double Beef Classic features two beef patties, lettuce, onions, pickles and two sauces. One is a spicy honey mustard, and the other is Big Tasty sauce, which has a smoky flavor, and is made with oil, egg yolks, and sour cream to create a creamy, mayo-type sauce. You could try to approximate the sauce by mixing McDonald's Creamy Ranch with a small amount of Tangy Barbecue Sauce since barbecue sauce also has a smoky flavor. Try ordering a side of honey mustard and mixing in the yellow mustard to taste until you get it balanced the way you like.
