The Absolute Cheapest Burger King Menu Item Makes For A Great Snack (But Not Much Else)

Craving Burger King but you don't have enough cash to get a small meal? One of the chain's most inexpensive items won't even cost you $2 — but it won't do much more than temporarily tamp down your cravings. Burger King's Jalapeño Cheddar Bites are tiny bits of deep-fried goodness which contain shredded cheddar cheese and little bits of jalapeñosm, cooked until they're salty and crispy. While delicious, they're not exactly filling nor are they very versatile.

The Jalapeño Cheddar Bites from Burger King have just the right kick of heat, and the melty, creamy goodness of the cheese properly combines to make a peppery snack that adds a bit of spice to the proceedings. While they're the absolute cheapest fast food item you can get on BK's menu, there are only four pieces in a small order, which costs $1.69 depending on the location. You can also up your order to eight pieces for $2.69. However, that still may not even do you justice.

Burger King's Jalapeño Cheddar Bites definitely won't satisfying if you're hoping for a sufficient meal. However, for less than $2, they do serve as a small snack to curb your hunger — delivering just enough cheesy, spicy goodness to carry you on to lunch or dinner, but not much else.

If you're looking to make a meal of your Jalapeño Cheddar Bites, add them to your burger

Want to make a full meal out of your Jalapeño Cheddar Bites and upgrade them from their position as one of the best Burger King sides of all time? The bites would taste delicious sandwiched into or alongside the limited-time Loaded Jalapeno Whopper. Also available with an Impossible patty, the sandwich is topped with lettuce, American cheese, crispy jalapeños, pickled jalapeños, and finished with a creamy jalapeño sauce.

Burger King's Jalapeño Cheddar Bites offer a whole lot of cool burn and big flavors to your lunch or dinner order. However, if the Loaded Jalapeño Whopper is a little too same-same for you in the flavor department and you want more dimension, the bites would also taste wonderful paired with anything barbecue-forward, such as BK's Rodeo Cheeseburger. You could even try them on or alongside Burger King's famous Whopper to give it a little extra kick in the pants.

Interestingly enough, these snacks weren't always a part of BK's current menu. The Jalapeño Cheddar Bites were first introduced in 2020 and finally returned to the menu full-time in 2025 after being gone for three years. Even though they're being offered up in miniscule portions, it looks like they might be here to stay.
