In 2004, when husband-and-wife team Colby and Megan Garrelts began serving progressive American cuisine in the party-centric neighborhood of Westport, they were culinary pioneers in the barbecue-centric city. Their work quickly paid off, and in 2005, Colby was named one of Food & Wine's Best New Chefs. Multiple James Beard nominations followed before he was awarded Best Chef Midwest in 2013. A 2014 renovation took the dining room from a shabby-chic space to a modern one with an open kitchen. The lounge, which also got a redesign, is a fantastic place to grab a quick, affordable dinner as an alternative to the more refined (and pricier) tasting menus in the dining room.
