Mary is a news editor and novelist living in Brooklyn, New York, whose interest in journalism and literature dates back to childhood. She joined Static Media as a food feature writer, exploring topics ranging from food science and product reviews to ancient cuisines and celebrity chefs. She is fascinated by the stories and emotional connections formed around the culinary arts, whether it be the origins of an urban food truck or reading an Eastern European grandmother's book of family recipes. Mary is a former freelance journalist for Connecticut newspapers The Bristol Press and New Britain Herald and has published web articles for AI insurance broker Jerry. She finds that writing about cars and food is actually quite similar, as both subjects allow her endless opportunities to explore the history and evolution of people in modern-day society.
