Experience
Mary is a content writer and novelist from New Haven, Connecticut whose interest in journalism and literature dates back to childhood. Her writing explores regional cuisine, healthy(ish) eating, and of course, the wild and wacky world that is cooking reality shows. She is fascinated by the stories and emotional connections formed around the culinary arts, whether it be the origins of an urban food truck or reading an Eastern European grandmother's book of family recipes. Mary is a former freelance journalist for Connecticut newspapers The Bristol Press and New Britain Herald and has published web articles for AI insurance broker Jerry and mycarmakesnoise.com. She finds that writing about cars and food is actually quite similar, as both subjects allow her endless opportunities to explore the history and evolution of people in modern-day society.
Education
Mary studied writing at Drexel University and is currently enrolled in the media communications Bachelor of Science program at Full Sail University.
