- Lindsay is the co-author of the cookbook "My Mother's Ayurvedic Kitchen," a book that teaches the importance of sustainable cooking based on your geographic location.
- In addition to developing recipes and writing about food, Lindsay is a seasoned product tester and has tested more than 40 charcoal, gas, and electric grills, along with smokers, outdoor pizza ovens, and other kitchen and cooking equipment.
- Before she was a writer, Lindsay attended culinary school and was the executive chef of a farm-to-table restaurant. She’s passionate about using local, seasonal ingredients and uses her experiences to help others learn to cook delicious meals across various cuisines based on ingredients and flavors.
Experience
Lindsay is a professional chef, recipe developer, and writer. After years of working in restaurant kitchens, she turned to writing to share her skills and experience with home cooks and food enthusiasts. She’s passionate about using local, organic ingredients and loves to teach others how to incorporate seasonal food into their diet. Lindsay still cooks professionally for pop-up events, and she has written for several publications, including Reviewed (a USA Today Company), Taste of Home, Wide Open Eats, and SkinnyMs.
Education
Lindsay has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a certificate of completion in Culinary Arts with a focus in Sustainable Food Systems from Cascade Culinary Institute in Bend, Oregon.
