You Can Only Get Mountain Dew's New 'Legendary' Flavor At One Place

Gamers, skaters, and Mountain Dew enthusiasts from all walks of life have a new Dew to look forward to ... if they're willing to make a pilgrimage to a certain saucy restaurant chain.

In a press release, the soda brand unveiled its latest flavor creation, which will be available exclusively at Buffalo Wild Wings locations. The new flavor, which has been named MTN DEW Legend, is a charcoal-colored take on the typically neon hued soft drink, featuring notes of blackberry, ginger, and of course, Mountain Dew's signature citrus.

Mtn Dew Legend, which was "uniquely designed to elevate Buffalo Wild Wings' sauces, burgers, and other bar food items," was "curated for those who embrace the fun and freedom in life." And, apparently, those who embrace saucy, spicy wings. The new flavor marks the first time a PepsiCo beverage has been offered exclusively at the popular chain.

"Buffalo Wild Wings and Mountain Dew both know a thing or two about passionate fan bases and how to take celebrations to the next level with great-tasting food and beverages," said Scott Finlow, Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo Global Foodservice, on the partnership.

The brands want to change your sports watching experience

"Together, our goal is to elevate the sports viewing and dining experience, with MTN DEW Legend serving as the ultimate wingman," Finlow said in the press release.

The soda brand's latest 'Legend'-ary flavor is far from the first time Mountain Dew has created a new take on its classic soda. The soft drink maker has released dozens of flavors in a wide variety of colors over the years, from classics like Code Red, to more out-there options, like the holiday-themed Gingerbread Snap'd and Major Melon, a watermelon-inspired flavor.

The brand has also thrown its hat into the crowded hard seltzer ring, recently announcing that it would be releasing its fourth flavor of hard Mountain Dew, a boozy take on its Baja Blast flavor made in partnership with the Boston Beer Company.

According to the wing chain, Dew fans will be able to sample the soda company's latest flavor innovation exclusively at select sports bar locations starting today. The full-scale roll out to all 1,200+ Buffalo Wild Wings locations nationwide is slated for May.
