The 5 Most Disappointing New Crumbl Cookies Of 2026 So Far

Crumbl releases four new cookie flavors every single week, which means its braintrust has to come up with a total of 208 new treats for 2026 alone. With that kind of output, it's amazing the chain has so many hits under its belt. That said, sometimes Crumbl tries to do too much; and when it misses, it misses hard.

These five attempts at reinventing Crumbl's sugary wheel went south big-time with audiences. Whether it was a savory flavor that never caught on, an oddly sour cookie that made consumers gag instead of smile, or a too-sweet concoction that had fans turning their nose up; this list is for the cookies that sent people running from their local, pink-coated cookie outposts. There have been some awful Crumbl cookies over the years, but we're focusing here on the worst ones that either released for the first time in 2026 or were brought back to stores again for some reason. All of them missed the mark with consumers, to say the least.

Flamin' Lime Crunch Cookie

Crumbl's Flamin' Lime Crunch Cookie took the famous burn of Flamin' Hot Cheetos and added a sweet and tangy twist. It's a lime-flavored sugar cookie that's rolled in a spicy cheese crisp mixture before being baked and topped with cream cheese frosting, a spicy cheese crisp streusel, two whole spicy cheese crisps (think off-brand Cheetos), and a lime. It was a part of Crumbl's Road Trip Week, which took travel-friendly snack foods as inspiration.

Opinions were negative about the snack, to say the least, with plenty of videos featuring food influencers and regular Joes gagging after they tried the cookie when it dropped in early August. Apparently the spicy flavor didn't pair well with the sweet sugar cookie or the tangy frosting.

Commenters posting reviews on Crumbl's app show how divisive the cookie ultimately was. It only earned three stars with over 4,000 consumers weighing in. "It's like eating a Cheeto from underneath the seat of a 2003 Honda civic [sic] when no one is watching," one reviewer remarked. Someone else had a more violent reaction. "I'm going to throw up. There's no way I just bit into that cookie and the Cheeto was stale. I'm calling the health department," a TikTok user proclaimed.

Tangy Mango Cookie ft. Tajín

Another savory-leaning option was the Tangy Mango Cookie ft. Tajín, which got poor reviews when it came out during the chain's Soccer Cookies promotion (four Crumbl cookies which inspired mockery among the chain's regulars). This time, a basic sugar cookie was flavored with mango before being rolled in a Tajín sugar crust. The taste of mango and Tajín marry again in the frosting, and an additional dollop of mango sauce with Tajín is thrown on top of the whole affair.

Nearly 4,000 Crumbl customers weighed in via the company's app to give the Tangy Mango Cookie ft. Tajín just under three stars. A frequent complaint from critics of the cookie was that it was too sour and salty. "It was so awful. Even my bf who loves sour and tangy desserts hated it," a Redditor remarked. Others complained about how wet the cookie was or how fake the mango flavoring tasted. Apparently what tastes good on chicken and other savory delicacies doesn't necessarily taste good on a sugar cookie.

The Almost Everything Bagel Sandwich Cookie

Crumbl's savory-sweet options clearly had a hard time winning over new fans, and this sandwich cookie reprise of its previously-released Almost Everything Bagel Cookie landed it some cross comments when it was released for April Fool's Day in 2026. The Almost Everything Bagel Sandwich Cookie is comprised of two buttery cookies forming a top and bottom layer sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning, which typically includes poppy seeds, sesame seeds, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, and coarse salt; but in this case only had the seeds and salt. Sandwiched between the cookie layers is some cream cheese icing, and there's a hole cut in the middle so the cookie better resembles a bagel.

It has just under four stars on the Crumbl app with over 2,000 reviews, but Redditors weren't big fans. It seems it was too salty for most people, while for others it was too sweet. "Am I the only one that absolutely hated this cookie? It was so bad that I spit it out," one Redditor said. "Hateddddd it. I wanted to like it because it was actually creative for Crumbl. But I took one bite and couldn't finish it," another said

The Peach Ring Cookie

The Peach Ring Cookie was a returning menu item last seen in 2022 and yet another cookie that made people gasp and gag as they bit into it. It's essentially a peach-flavored sugar cookie rolled in sour sugar before it's baked then topped with pink and peach-colored swirled mousse icing. More sour sugar is sprinkled on top along with a peach ring gummy placed in the center of the treat.

It does hold a four star rating on Crumbl's app with over 6,000 reviews, but the weird bouquet, faint peach flavor, and artificial aftertaste were a big problem for some consumers. Texture also came up as an issue, so this new reboot proved equally disappointing to new customers as it had been for old. "That is a whole bunch of nope. That's a one," influencer Tiff of Tiff and Marg remarked on their Instagram account after trying this one. "The peach was the worst Crumbl cookie I've ever had!" added a Facebook user. "Mine was soggy. It was disgusting. Waste of money," another Facebook user remarked.

Cotton Candy

After a three year hiatus, Crumbl brought back one of its sweetest treats for its Fair Desserts lineup. This one earned complaints thanks to the too-saccharine taste of the treats. Each cookie is coated in cotton candy-flavored cream cheese frosting with blue and pink popping candy sprinkled on top. Another big con for consumers was that the dessert tasted too much like a simple vanilla sugar cookie, making it a big letdown even for those looking for a bold cotton candy flavor. It has a little over a three star rating on the Crumbl app with over 21,000 reviews logged, double-underlining the level of discord that comes up whenever cookie lovers discuss it.

One TikToker remarked that there was next to no cotton candy flavor in the cookie they tried. "It literally doesn't taste like cotton candy. Mid!" she said. "It's not very good. I'm disappointed." The flavor also frequently came up when Redditors talked about the worst flavor the chain's ever made. "Cotton candy was straight nasty last time I had it," one user said. It looks like time won't be on the side of this offering.
