Giada De Laurentiis Just Launched A Mysterious New Surprise Box
Celebrity chef and Food Network star Giada de Laurentiis has been sharing her love of Italy with viewers since 2002 when an executive from Food Network discovered her. Her current hit tv series, Giada at Home first aired in 2008. The Emmy-winning show which features Giada preparing meals for family and guests has expanded over the years with shows like Giada Entertains, Giada's Holiday Handbook, and Giada on the Beach. Giada in Italy, which chronicled de Laurentiis' trips to her home country ran from 2015 – 2019, via IMDB but soon after "Giada and Bobby in Italy" aired in 2021, filling the void for disappointed fans.
Her love of Italy and passion to share it is what inspired Giada to launch her lifestyle and e-commerce site Giadzy in 2017, she shares on Giadzy's site. To honor her grandfather and his restaurant that taught her to love cooking, Giada uses the site to feature items from small family-owned farms and companies like honey from the Italian alpines, artichokes packed by a married couple in Lazio, to rice flour from Piedmont.

On a recent trip to Northwest Italy, Giada visited some of the farms that her Giadzy site sources products from, regularly updating the Giadzy Instagram account so fans could follow along. One post, showed truffle cultivators at Tartuflanghe in Alba taking Giada on a truffle hunt. Another post featured the owner of Riso Buono showing Giada the carnaroli rice sold on Giadzy. Giada says that most of her beloved recipes come from northern Italy. And according to her, no one makes chocolate like they do in Piedmont. The trip to northern Italy was so inspirational that Giada just announced a curated Northern Italy Surprise Box on Twitter.
This isn't an ordinary culinary discovery box. Per the Twitter announcement, consumers won't know what's inside. "We just know you'll love it," the tweet claims.
Found under the "gifts and kits" tab on Giadzy's site, the box is labeled "Giada's Surprise Box – Giada's Gems of the North (via Giadzy). For $81 plus shipping, buyers will receive Giada's curated favorites from northern Italy which are not revealed until the box arrives on your door and is opened. About the only thing buyers do know is that you receive six items, which we can only assume will be consumed with gusto.
