Norwegian Air Has $79 Flights To The Caribbean

Nope, that's not a typo

If you think booking a Caribbean vacation is reserved for the day you cash out your 401(k) and retirement funds, think again. To celebrate its new nonstop services from Florida and Rhode Island, Norwegian Air is offering one-way flights to the French Caribbean islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe for a staggeringly cheap $79. (Yeah, that's not a typo). In addition to these fares costing well under a Benjamin, return trips from these turquoise, tropical destinations will shrink your wallet by a measly $134, Travel + Leisure reports.

You can book these too-good-to-be-true fares starting now, but before you get too giddy, there's a small catch: Service to the islands doesn't start until the end of October and is available only from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida and T. F. Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island. You shouldn't write off this deal just because you live outside these two states though—taking a short road trip or domestic connection to these two airports can still be cheaper than a direct flight from where you live.

And though you won't be able to reap this bargain's benefits for another seven months, you'll have more than enough time to explain why you won't be joining your in-laws for Thanksgiving this year.
