Kegged Rosé Is Here for Summer, Because Bottles Are Boring
It seems that lately, wine is being served in every possible vessel except for a glass bottle. Canned wine has reigned like Cersei over the Seven Kingdoms, and there was that 24-hour wine fountain in Italy. But there's another method now, and it's just in time for summer: kegged wine.
Bridge Lane Wine of Lieb Cellars has come up with an idea so brilliant it's hard to believe no one's thought of it before—if ranch can be kegged, clearly it was just a matter of time. The available varieties include popular pours like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and rosé. And according to PureWow, one keg contains 26 bottles of wine—which is 130 glasses.
Each keg retails for $240, and can be ordered online and shipped across the country. And while, of course, this isn't the first wine to be put inside a tap, it's definitely the most party-friendly for Memorial Day.
