Six 90s Snacks That Are Finally Back
Legends of the Hidden Temple. *NSYNC. Scrunchies.
If any of these references make your heart skip a beat, you probably lived through the 1990s. It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times, but love it or hate it, the 90s are totally back. From The X Files reboot to Blink 182’s shockingly successful new album, everyone’s favorite decade is taking over 2016. Luckily, your favorite 90s snacks and beverages are along for the ride as well.
Crystal Pepsi, which will throw a summer of 92-themed concert in celebration of its triumphant return, is only the most recent throwback staple to hit shelves. Here are five more 90s foods and drinks that are back in stores to take you on a trip down memory lane.
Crispy M&M’s: Literally back by popular demand, the crispy treats came back into circulation in 2014 after vanishing for 10 years. Mars Chocolate allegedly received petitions and phone calls from fans of the cult favorite before deciding to give the people what they want.
Surge: The citrus-flavored soft drink, which was originally created to compete with Mountain Dew, was largely discontinued in 2003, but Facebook fan bases helped it make a comeback in 2015. It’s now sold at certain retailers across the country.
French Toast Crunch: From the lovely people behind Cinnamon Toast Crunch came the sugary goodness of French toast-flavored breakfast cereal in 1995. Although discontinued in 2006, the cereal made a comeback in 2014 to the delight of children and adults everywhere.
3D Doritos (sort of): Though not exactly the epic chips you remember from childhood, the new Doritos Jacked 3D are allegedly more flavorful, more awesome, and come in a bacon cheddar ranch flavor. We don’t know about you, but we wouldn’t say no to a bag of those babies and a Fresh Prince marathon right about now.
