What Aarón Sánchez Fans Need To Know About El Sabor De Aarón

Aarón Sánchez is bringing an all-new culinary competition program to viewers this spring. According to a press release, the 10-part series, "El Sabor de Aarón" (or "The Taste of Aarón"), will be hosted by the celebrity chef and premiere on Hogar de HGTV on May 5. The channel was launched by Discovery in 2020 and features a mix of dubbed content from HGTV, Food Network, and other Discovery properties, plus original programming (via The Wrap). Sánchez is well known with audiences for his appearances on competition shows like "MasterChef Junior," "Chopped," and "Iron Chef America." Now, the Mexican-American host will put a fresh-faced group of chefs to the test in his latest entertainment endeavor.

In each 30-minute episode of "El Sabor de Aarón," viewers will see two Hispanic chefs from across the United States participate in cooking challenges designed to highlight their unique take on the Latino culinary tradition. The chefs will be tasked with creating two dishes using ingredients selected by Sánchez — not unlike "Chopped." Each week, the winner will be selected by Sánchez and a rotating panel of celebrity guest hosts, including chefs Benito Molina, Grace Ramirez, Solange Munis, Deborah de Corral, and world-famous boxer Oscar de la Hoya.

For Sánchez, it's about more than just food

"'El Sabor de Aarón' is my way of showing love to Hispanic cuisine and the broader community of professional chefs that are taking the rich traditions and flavors that we all cherish to entirely new heights," celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez shared in the press release. "Getting the opportunity to spotlight some of the brightest stars and sharpest minds in the Hispanic culinary scene is an honor, and I cannot wait for Hogar de HGTV viewers to see what we have in store for them."

The Spanish-language competition show will be produced by Cocina, a digital media company co-founded by Sánchez aimed at "celebrating and elevating Latin Food and lifestyle." As part of a larger partnership, Hogar de HGTV also airs short-form cooking and how-to content created by Cocina across its various platforms.

If you're interested in watching "El Sabor de Aarón," be sure to check with your provider that you get Hogar de HGTV before May 5.
