Taco Bell Wants Fans To Travel In Spicy Style With New Luggage
Taco Bell is encouraging fans to travel más this summer with a brand-new merch collection designed with travelers in mind. The fast food company, which recently announced that it would be opening 1,000 additional international locations, is making it easier than ever for jet-setting fans to put their Taco Bell love on display around the world.
In a press release, the company announced its collaboration with luggage brand CALPAK, which will feature some of the spiciest carry-on baggage to ever hit airport runways (via Restaurant Business). The FIRE! travel goods capsule collection, which will be available to the general public on April 26 via the CALPAK website and Taco Bell's Taco Shop, will include four hot sauce-themed bags sure to heat up your summer vacation. The luggage collaboration marks the brand's largest hospitality activation since briefly opening a Taco Bell Resort in Palm Springs in 2019.
"We've seen our fans express their Taco Bell fandom through so many avenues like makeup, fashion, tattoos and now they have the opportunity to show their brand love on their next adventures," Tracee Larocca, Taco Bell's head of brand creative, told Food & Wine. "We hope our collection with CALPAK inspires our fans to 'Live Más' wherever they are, or are going, in the world."
Inspired by Taco Bell's hot sauce packets
Although the CALPAK collection is Taco Bell's first travel-centric collab, the chain is no stranger to major merchandise partnerships. Taco Bell previously teamed up with fast fashion retailer Forever21 for a clothing collection featuring sauce packet bodysuits, cropped hoodies, and other trendy pieces (via Eater).
The travel gear included in the Taco Bell x CALPAK collection includes a bright-red, soft-sided FIRE! carry-on suitcase featuring 360-degree spinner wheels and a removable zippered pouch. Also included is a lightweight orange HOT! duffel bag with a removable crossbody strap.
Smaller travel essentials include a black-and-red DIABLO! crossbody bag with adjustable shoulder strap and a five-piece MILD! packing cube set that will help keep your travel wear organized in your suitcase. In addition to the CALPAK collection release, Taco Bell also announced that it will be unveiling a brand-new summer collection on May 3 via the Taco Shop website. It will feature travel-inspired items like hot sauce-themed luggage tags, beach towels, and koozies.
Although the limited-edition Taco Bell x CALPAK collection will be available to the public on April 26, Taco Bell rewards members who have achieved Fire Tier status by April 19 will get early access to the collection starting on April 23, while supplies last.
