'Tasting Table' New Space The Commons
Welcome to The Commons, an airy downtown loft that reaches beyond food-forward entertaining
Food isn't just food anymore. It's intertwined with art, fashion, music, books and more—which is why we've revived our entertainment space to become a hub for events and discussions.
The Commons by Tasting Table is a dynamic downtown loft space in the heart of Soho, Manhattan, designed for conversation, community and culture. It's completely outfitted with furniture, equipment and other resources to turn any event into an unforgettable experience. But we didn't just do it for us: This is a venue made for collaboration, created with you in mind.
We want you to feel comfortable here, as if you are in your own home, so we had a whole crew of people helping on that front. The design experts at FLOAT Studio decked out the space with striped carpets, postmodern decor and an electric-blue couch, all to match the Farrow & Ball paint that covers the walls.
Miele's sleek kitchen appliances—like the refrigerator that blends into the matte burgundy cabinets and the highly efficient induction burners—help streamline the cooking, and Kohler's faucets make cleanup a breeze. Quartz Caesarstone countertops provide a bright, inviting prep space, and the innovative, customizable Philips Hue system ties everything together by lighting up the place in style.
We've built a name for ourselves hosting chef dinners, wine tastings and more, keeping our fingers on the pulse of the food world, and we know what it takes to entertain a crowd. The Commons at once reflects these many hats and suggests the opportunity to use food for more than just a good meal. It's a place where dining and culture come together, causing us to gather, share and discover.
Join us: There's more than enough room at this table.
