Bill Murray's Bartending At 21 Greenpoint In Brooklyn This Weekend

The actor will be behind the bar at his son's new restaurant

When River Styx relaunches this weekend as 21 Greenpoint in Brooklyn, there will be a special guest behind the bar: Bill Murray. The restaurant is co-owned by his son, Homer, and Syd Silver. This won't be Murray's first time behind the bar. In 2010, he started pouring tequila shots at Austin's Shangri-La during SXSW while hanging out with the Wu-Tang Clan. The drinks on the menu at this revamped space, put together by bartender Sean McClure of Dirty French, Daniel and Le Bernardin, are likely to be a bit more complicated than your average overflowing shots of tequila, so here's hoping Bill has taken a few bartending classes since then.

To pair with your cocktail, there's a new menu from Sean Telo, who used to work at Extra Fancy, Eater NY reports. He's serving a white clam pie with guanciale, pecorino and oregano; a steak tartare; and an "ugly vegetable salad," made with produce farmers might have trouble selling otherwise.

Looking to catch Bill for a chat about Suntory time? Unfortunately, a rep for the restaurant revealed to Gothamist that this weekend's service is by invite only. Here's hoping Bill feels like visiting his son another time soon.
