The Cheesecake Factory Will Open First NYC Location In Queens
The Cheesecake Factory is opening its first NYC location
Queens, prepare yourself. Giant slices of cheesecake and heaping piles of Chinese chicken salad are coming for you. And by that, we mean The Cheesecake Factory is planning its first outpost in New York City, at the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst, to be specific.
The plans, according to the Queens Courier, appear to be for a 180-seat restaurant with patio seating for another 48 people, which should open sometime toward the end of the year. The mall's already home to a Shake Shack, so this should pretty much be a teen dream of a hangout spot—that is, if teens are anything like they were in the early aughts when The Cheesecake Factory was the place to see and be seen and be stuffed.
The Cheesecake Factory isn't the only national chain to finally land in NYC in recent memory. Chick-fil-A drew long lines when it finally opened its first restaurant (well, not counting the one in the NYU dining hall) last year.
