Ingredients

  • Marinade
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha chile sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • Tuna
  • 6 ounces sushi-grade yellowfin (ahi) tuna, diced
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • ½ tart green apple (such as Granny Smith)--peeled, cored and finely chopped
  • 1 avocado--halved, pitted and diced
  • Kosher salt

Optional Ingredients

  • Kettle-style potato chips (optional)

Directions

  1. Make the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the Sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, sugar, salt and lemon juice. Whisk in the sesame oil and set aside.
  2. In a stainless-steel bowl, gently combine the tuna, onion, apple and avocado. Add the sesame dressing, gently stir to combine, season with salt and serve with the kettle chips, if using.
