Chick-Fil-A Launches New Line Of Salad Dressings

Succulent, breaded chicken may be what made Chick-fil-A famous, but the chain's sauces and salad dressings also have diehard fans. While bottles of the company's dipping sauces are already available in retail locations, Chick-fil-A salad dressing was only available in restaurants — that is, until now.

During the month of May, Chick-fil-A will bring four of its most popular dressings to stores, and according to a company announcement, among them is the most requested one: the Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing.

The others are the Garden Herb Ranch Dressing, Creamy Salsa Dressing, and Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette Dressing, which each have a distinct flavor. The Garden Herb Ranch Dressing is the predecessor of the ever-popular Avocado Lime Ranch and features a buttermilk base, garlic, onion, and herbs. Creamy Salsa Dressing features flavors of the Southwest like cumin, hot pepper, tomato, and garlic. Finally, Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette Dressing contains honey, spices, fruit juices, and apple cider vinegar.

The dressings have many uses beyond green salads — and Chick-fil-A wants to get the ball rolling with ideas.

How to use the dressings

To help promote the release of the four dressings, Chick-fil-A is providing a variety of recipes, including Avocado Lime Ranch Scrambled Eggs, Southwest Creamy Salsa Corn Salad, Cheddar Ranch Biscuits with Ham, and Zesty Bacon Potato Salad.

"Our dressings bring versatile flavors to the table, making them perfect for marinating chicken, drizzling on tacos, or whipping up a pasta salad," said Chick-fil-A chef Christy Cook.

Before the dressings were rolled out nationally, Chick-fil-A first tested them in Ohio and Tennessee locations, where they proved popular. Michael Garrison, senior director of innovation and new ventures at Chick-fil-A, said the company heard from customers from around the country hoping to buy the dressing. While you'll strike out trying to get any bottles in the restaurants, the 12-ounce bottles of Chick-fil-A salad dressings will be sold in the refrigerated sections of Walmart stores and other participating grocery stores in the next few weeks.
