NYC's Gov Ball Music Fest Just Announced Its 2023 Food Vendors

As Shakespeare himself once wrote, "If music be the food of love, play on." Today, we're not talking about "Twelfth Night," but we are getting hyped for three days of music and food all going down in New York City. That's right — it's almost time for Gov Ball 2023. Held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Odesza, Lil Uzi Vert, Omar Apollo, Lil Nas X, Black Midi, and more than 60 other performers are taking the stage (three stages, actually) to bring music to a crowd of thousands. That's a lot of mouths to cheer with — and to feed.

Luckily, NYC's food scene is world-famous. The city is home to more than 70 Michelin-starred restaurants and some of the most renowned giants in the spirits world like Death & Co. and Katana Kitten. Fittingly, this year's Gov Ball lineup of food vendors places New Yorkers in the spotlight, showcasing some of the best gastronomic trophies the city has to offer. Here's what's on the menu.

Fueling festival foodies

According to a press release sent to Tasting Table, Gov Ball 2023 is covering all the bases with its inventive array of offerings to keep funky foodies full all weekend long. Concert-goers can start the morning off with familiar fare at Dunkin to fuel up for a day of music. For vegetarian foodies, there are plant-based burgers, tacos, and nuggets at Everything Legendary. Looking for portable snacks? Grab a basket of fries from Frites Artois or an ice cream cone at the Häagen-Dazs® Experience. (Fans can be among the first to try the brand's new Butter Cookie Cone). Locals will recognize hometown favorites like Roberta's Pizza, The Halal Guys, Lobster Joint, and Gordo's Cantina, among many others.

Thirsty? Traipse around the grounds with a glass of wine from Chateau Ste. Michelle. There will be plenty of cocktails to sip from an array of spirits purveyors including Aperol, Bacardi, Espolòn, D'USSÉ, and Tito's, to name a few. Visitors can grab a beer at Anheuser Busch or the local Blue Point Brewing Company, the latter of which will be offering an exclusive Gov Ball Summer Ale. For N.A. drinkers, there's boba at Tea and Milk and fresh-pressed juice at John's Juice.

The festival runs from Friday, June 9 through Sunday, June 11, so there's plenty of time to sample everything on the menu. A full list of food and beverage fenders is available via the Governors Ball Music Festival website.
