Disney Revamps Mickey's ToonTown Dining Ahead Of Reopening

Disneyland is preparing to reintroduce guests to a section of its park that has been under refurbishment for the past year. The gates to Mickey's ToonTown were officially reopened on January 27 to welcome guests to experience the new ride Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, as part of Disneyland's celebration of the company's 100-year anniversary. However, most of the area remained blocked off from visitors while renovations to the character meet and greet, dining areas, kids' play spaces, and the area's other rides were completed.

While some outlets noted that the reopening date for the land has been pushed back from March 4 to March 19, Disney did recently offer fans a sneak peek of what to expect at the area's two new food locations when the construction walls do finally come down. A press release from Disney reports that there will be two new food locations in ToonTown when it reopens, Daisy's Café, a quick-service dining location owned by Daisy Duck and Good Boy! Grocers, a snack and beverage stand themed around Mickey's dog Pluto. Most of the food options of note will be found at Daisy's Café, though the menu highlights mostly seem to be built around hotdogs and pizza.

Here's what's on the new menu at Daisy's Café

Daisy's Café will feature multiple foot-long hotdog options, some including chili cheese sauce, as well a Pizza Flop Over, which looks like a crossover between a flatbread sandwich and a calzone. The Flop Over is filled with mozzarella, parmesan, marinara sauce, and optional pepperoni. There will also be a vegan-friendly option offered at the location — the Spring Garden Wrap is made with romaine lettuce and quinoa topped with lemon dressing and pumpkin seeds. You can also follow up any of these entrees with the location's signature dessert, Daisy's Goody-Goody Donuts, which are coated in cinnamon sugar.

If you get tired out by the California heat and want to skip a hot meal in favor of a quicker, cooler snack, Good Boy! Grocers are more akin to farm stands offering a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to snack on as well as granola bars, cookies, juice boxes, bottled water, and Coca-Cola products. While Good Boy! Grocers are similar to other grab-and-go snack spots, this location will have some unique souvenir items for sale, like a collectible Mickey Mouse picnic basket that comes with your choice of three snacks and a drink, and a Mickey and Minnie picnic blanket. Sounds like the kids and adults will have plenty to choose from during your next Disneyland trip.
