How To Score Tickets To Ina Garten's Celeb-Studded Virtual Book Tour

If you've ever dreamt of joining Ina Garten for bites and cocktails at her Hamptons estate, a new event series may help turn that dream into a reality ... at least virtually. In a press release, the San Francisco-based home retailer Williams Sonoma announced an upcoming slate of programming designed to celebrate all things Ina.

In honor of the recent release of Garten's latest cookbook, "Go-To Dinners: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook," the retailer is partnering with the Food Network star just in time for the most food-filled season of the year. As part of the partnership, the "Barefoot Contessa" host has taken over the Williams Sonoma website, sharing various recipes and hosting tips for the ultimate holiday meal or festive dinner party.

Williams Sonoma will also be featuring "Go-To Dinners" as its Cookbook Club pick of the month, giving customers the chance to attend in-store cooking events to learn how to make recipes like balsamic-roasted brussels sprouts, roast turkey with gravy, and bourbon chocolate pecan pie. And, the retailer is giving fans of the cookbook author the opportunity to join Garten for a star-studded virtual book tour, during which the culinary expert will share behind-the-scenes insights into the making of her cookbooks and television show with the help of some big-name friends, ranging from Hollywood celebs to top food world insiders.

Garten will be joined by Hollywood and food world celebrities

According to the retailer, to kick off the event series, on November 1 Garten will be joined by actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore. On November 3, the "Barefoot Contessa" will celebrate her book with "Alias" star Jennifer Garner. On November 7, Garten will be joined virtually by New York Times Cooking staff writer and "Korean American: Food That Tastes Like Home" author Eric Kim, and on November 29 she will be joined by Bon Appétit senior food editor Andy Baraghani for the conclusion of the virtual tour.

To get access, fans must purchase Garten's latest cookbook directly from the home retailer's website. Customers can select to bundle their copy with the virtual event of their choice (depending on availability), retailing for $35. Or, for an extra $15, customers can bundle the cookbook, virtual event access, and a spatula designed by Garten herself as part of Williams Sonoma's annual cookware-centric charitable fundraiser.

"We are thrilled to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with Ina this year and ... we're especially grateful that Ina's cookbook tour is joining our Virtual Event Series as it allows everyone to participate," said Williams Sonoma President Felix Carbullido in a press release. In addition to snagging a virtual seat for the cookbook tour, fans can also enter to win an Ina-approved prize pack featuring a signed copy of her latest tome by visiting the Williams Sonoma website.
