The Museum Of Ice Cream's Opening In L.A.

There's a sprinkle pool to play in

The team behind the Museum of Ice Cream, a pop-up sweets museum, is getting ready for their L.A. debut on April 22.

After a hit run in NYC last summer, the team is installing the museum's much-Instagrammed pool of 100 million sprinkles and, likely, a lot of freezers. The space in Downtown L.A. is four times as large as the one in New York, so there are some new exhibitions planned, like a banana split room, a "mint" grow house and a melted Popsicle jungle (maybe leave your whites at home).

Of course, there's also a lot of ice cream. There's a "scoop of the week" from West Coast favorites, like McConnell's, Salt & Straw, Coolhaus and CREAM and mochi fromĀ My/Mo Mochi. Each ticket comes with two ice cream servings and a few other sweet treats, like chocolates.

Tickets for the public go on sale Monday, at 9 a.m. PST. But for those with an American Express Platinum Card, they are on presale today, and for all Amex customers, they are available starting tomorrow. Tickets for NYC sold out quickly, so mark your calendar.
