Every time we turn around, another food or drink holiday pops up. While these are not nationally recognized holidays, they do give us a chance to indulge in some of our favorite treats. Plus, restaurants and brands usually go the extra mile to offer deals and steals relating to these holidays. Sounds like a win-win to us!

This weekend, we cheers to National Tequila Day on Sunday. We can’t think of a better way for you to celebrate than by inviting your friends and family over for a few drinks. From the classic margarita to a clever twist on the cocktail, we’ve got five recipes to get you in the mood. Just don’t forget the tequila party essentials: guacamole, tacos, enchiladas and maybe some grilled corn.

Spice It
It’s easy to add a little kick to your margarita with the addition of a spice or jalapeño, like with this recipe for The Botanist

Infuse It
Treat your guests to a homemade concoction with this blueberry-infused tequila recipe.

Savor(y) It
Sometimes savory drinks don’t get the attention they deserve. This avocado-cilantro frozen margarita is a great reason to put down that sugary drink and pick up a savory one instead.

Cheers to the weekend! Stop on by to try one of our new drinks like the Green Go. A creamy avocado cocktail with a bite of lime. ?? #MULAComeUp #omaha #imbibegram #tequilatime

Spin It
A margarita doesn’t always have to consist of just tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. There are so many ways to put a twist on the classic. Make a tequila snow cone or combine two different drinks altogether for a cilantro-infused julep.

Eat It
We are full believers in the idea that we can drink our tequila and eat it, too. Incorporating alcohol into dishes or desserts opens the door to endless combinations. Try this frozen margarita pie recipe.
