9 Ways to Get Free Coffee on National Coffee Day
The only thing that can make a morning cup of joe any better is when it’s free. So get ready, dark and light roast addicts: Thursday, September 29, marks National Coffee Day, and coffee shops all across the country are celebrating.
At TT, our goal is to keep you informed and caffeinated, so we’ve pulled together the places offering worthwhile deals and freebies.
In New York:
① Trademark Taste + Grind: This Midtown coffee bar is celebrating all day long with $1 hot or iced classic drip coffees in the morning and $6 coffee slushies at night, Gothamist reports. Oh, and did we mention you can add booze to your coffee slushies, too?
② Blank Slate Coffee + Kitchen: Give back with a cup of joe from Blank Slate. This NoMad café is teaming up with Coffee Kids and will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from coffee sales. There will also be complimentary coffee tastings provided by Devociόn between 2 and 5 p.m.
Around the Country:
⑤ Peet’s Coffee: Score a free medium drip coffee with the purchase of any fresh food item at participating locations.
⑥ Dunkin' Donuts: To celebrate its 66th anniversary, DD is selling medium-sized hot coffee all day for a mere 66 cents.
⑦ Krispy Kreme: Because you can’t have coffee without a little something sweet, Krispy Kreme is giving customers a free glazed doughnut and a free 12-ounce cup of coffee.
⑧ Caribou Coffee: This Minnesota-based company warms our hearts. For every cup of Amy's Blend coffee purchased, the company will donate a free cup of coffee to caregivers at health facilities and hospitals across the country, as reported by Extra Crispy.
⑨ Whole Foods Market: Here is where your love of caffeine and pumpkin spice collide. Download the Whole Foods Market app, and you’ll find a coupon for $1 off a 16-ounce Allegro pumpkin spice latte.
