When the Tim Burton-themed bar, Beetle House, opened this spring in NYC’s East Village, every living (or perhaps even dead) soul in the country perked up and paid attention. From the Beetlejuice-themed cocktails to the Sweeney Todd-inspired, er, meat dishes, the place is like every Burton fan’s fantasy/nightmare come to life. In other words, it’s perfect.

About half a year in, it’s finally the ultimate time to geek out over Burton’s best movies and check out Beetle House if you haven’t already. This is Halloween.

Whether you're seeking inspiration for your own Halloween party or able to head to Beetle House in the flesh, here are some of our favorite food and drinks at the temple of Burton.

First, on the dinner Menu to Die For, which features meat “sourced locally from 100 percent innocent humans . . .,” just kidding:

Wings in 4 Flavors (Night, Hello Alice, Southern Violet and Our Veruca)

To translate, those mean: “hot hot hot,” sweet chipotle, honey BBQ and salted honey garlic. And, yes, they’re delicious.

② Cheshire Mac

This Burton-esque twist on the classic comfort food comes with no fewer than seven kinds of cheese.

③ Showtime Shrimp Quesadilla

If you don’t get the reference, you’re not a true fan.

And for drinks, or Poisons, Potions & Elixirs, we’re fans of:

④ Bio-exorcism

Made with muddled cucumbers, lime, Hendrick’s Gin and club soda, this is exactly what we want to drink, dead or alive.

⑤ Edward’s Lemonade

Edward Scissorhands is probably the best movie all time. We’ll wager one of these old-fashioneds with orange bitters if you can convince us otherwise.

⑥ Big Fish Bowl

This bowl for two is made with vodka, Malibu, blue Curaçao, sweet-and-sour mix, pineapple juice, Sprite, Nerds and Swedish Fish! Yes: Swedish Fish.

⑦ This Is Halloween!

A cocktail with Fireball, pumpkin liqueur, sour apple Pucker and apple cider? Why not. ‘Tis the season after all.
