Aldi Is Launching A 3-Liter Bottle Of Prosecco

Just in time for the holidays

On the tail of the announcement that its award-winning $8 rosé will finally be available in the U.S., the Aldi liquor gods are gracing us once again, this time with what could quite possibly be one of the best Christmas gifts this season: a three-liter bottle of Prosecco. To put this in perspective, the three-liter bottle is double the size of a magnum and pours about 24 glasses of bubbly bliss (a typical bottle of wine pours six).

The jeroboam rings in at a mere $54, which is a steal considering the quality of the Prosecco Superiore from the Veneto region of Italy is actually quite good. The 11 percent ABV wine is made from 100 percent Glera grapes and is "fruity, light and delicate with wisteria flower notes," according to Delish.

Aldi is hoping to capitalize on the success of its Prosecco sales last holiday season, which totaled more than two million bottles. Mark your calendar; the super-sized bottle of bubbles will be available both in stores and online starting November 14. We can't think of a better gift to give (and receive) this year (besides maybe this Prosecco pong).
