People Were Instantly Freezing Pasta During the Polar Vortex

When the Midwest was gripped by record-breaking freezing temperatures earlier this week, not everyone took it upon themselves to hole up under 17 blankets until Groundhog Day. 

In addition to instantly turning boiling water to ice, a few brave souls documented another impressive feat: how to make pasta float in midair. One Chicago dweller says it took merely 60 seconds for his bowl of spaghetti—fork included—to hover right where he left it.
