Planters Cheez Balls Coming Back

We've waited 12 long years for this day

Some would say their childhood was defined by visits to Disneyland or weekends with Saturday-morning cartoons, but me? Mine was made up of blue cardboard canisters filled with neon-orange Planters Cheez Balls. And though it's been 12 long years since they've disappeared from store shelves, we'll all soon be able to relive those 90s days, as Heinz, Planters' parent company, has announced its bringing back the Day-Glo snack—for a limited time.

"We heard many impassioned pleas for us to bring Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls back over the years and we wanted to give our fans a chance to reunite with their most-missed cheesy snack," Planters brand manager Melanie Huet says in a press release. "We made sure our Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls still have the same delicious taste, airy texture and fluorescent color you know and love."

Starting in July, the Cheez Balls you remember so fondly—right down to the packaging—will be available for you to swoop up. Hopefully, you'll have learned your lesson and buy enough to last you another 12 years.
