Runners: You spent the summer counting down to November 5, mourned the loss of your toenails and conquered the city with 50,000-plus other crazy humans. Spectators: You carbo-loaded in solidarity, cheered your face off and carried your wobbling zombie friends to the subway entrance.

Safe to say, everyone could use a congratulatory beer after this weekend's NYC marathon. Grab your medal and your cheer squad, and settle in at one of these New York spots offering post-marathon deals to newly minted marathoners.

① Threes' Brewing

Spectators, start the day with a free poster-making party: If you need inspiration, personal favorites include "Worst parade ever" and "If Britney could survive 2007, you can survive 26.2 miles." Then stick around to watch your friends go past the brewery around mile seven and convince them to head back to Brooklyn even if they have to crawl. A free beer awaits those wearing medals—as do daylong food and drink specials.

Great Northern Food Hall

After you cross the finish line and hobble toward Grand Central to catch a train home, stop at Claus Meyer's place for half off all carb items—including beer. We suggest the October special pumpkin sourdough, which is being brought back as a one-day special for marathon day and is good enough to take down solo even if you haven't just been active for hours. And if you're too sore to bother, the offer stands for the next two days.

Can't take any more carbs after a week's worth of stocking up? Tough, because you've got a lot of ground to make up after that many miles, and one more bowl of Bolognese—or any protein/carb combo—will help you recover that much faster. Show up at the NoLita restaurant in your medal to get a free beer and bowl of pasta, or get ahead of the game with discounted meals for runners in the two days leading up to the race.

④ Hudson Hotel

Don't go further than you have to. This sleek hotel is just blocks from the iconic finish line, so stop in for $5 draft beers at the on-site Umami Burger or cocktail deals at the bar. Bonus points for out-of-towners who've booked a room: You can just go right upstairs and nap afterward.
