Gordon Ramsay's London Restaurant Closes
The celebrity chef's restaurant group reported a year-end loss of more than $5 million
Maze, Gordon Ramsay's Michelin-starred restaurant in the Mayfair neighborhood of London, will be closing its doors next year, Eater reports. The dining room, which has been open since 2005 serving high-end menus that include dishes like seared scallops with truffle vinaigrette and dry-aged char siu-style pork chops, will be replaced by a new concept from Ramsay.
According to a report, Kavalake, the holding company for Gordon Ramsay Group Restaurants, claimed a loss of more than $5 million for the year ending in August 2017, in comparison to last year's profit of approximately $137,000. That seemingly grim outlook doesn't seem to be slowing Ramsay down though: Kavalake is continuing to actively look for "new restaurant locations both in the UK and internationally."
