National hotel chain DoubleTree by Hilton has definitely caught a case of the Christmas spirit this month—so much so that it's giving away its signature chocolate chip cookies for free through December 24. Just stop in to any DoubleTree lobby to pick up your warm 'n' gooey treat. If memory serves us right, those babies always taste like they just popped out of the oven.
The best part? The cookies are free for the taking, whether or not you've got a room upstairs. No big deal.
"We welcome anyone to come in, enjoy one of our delicious (and free!) signature DoubleTree Cookies and celebrate the warm and caring spirit of the holiday season—a feeling we strive to achieve all year," the chain's senior VP, Dianna Vaughan, says in a press release.
And if you thought milk was a cookie's best friend, think again. To complement its 12 Days of Cookies promotion, DoubleTree has also released a handy—and grown-up friendly—cookie-and-cocktail pairing guide. The boozy recipes include winter classics like a spicy, Irish whiskey-spiked Ginger Hot Toddy and a holiday-themed shot that pairs Guinness with coffee-infused tequila. Two nonalcoholic options are also listed—though odds are after six straight hours of wrapping the unwrappable (seriously, who made soccer balls so round?), you're probably going to need a hit of the hard stuff to make that cookie sing.
